"Keeping the Proverbial Eye on the Ball"

Lately there’s a lot of talk in politics, the media, and the community about 'entitlement' - the rights, benefits, or rewards we as individuals or citizens perceive as ours.  As the world has undergone immense economic change the last few years, we’ve heard this discussion reemerge and take center stage over the airwaves, in discussions among neighbors, and land on front pages of newspapers across the country and world.  Perhaps it is worthy of debate considering the perceived challenges we face as a nation, world, and for our purposes at The MIX, as creatives.  

As the debate continues, the notion of arriving at an easy solution seems yet out of reach. However, I remain confident just as others do that when enough paths have crossed and viewpoints shared, a solution good for all will be found.  In the meantime, it seems our immediate challenge as creatives is to engage ourselves in the discussion while also keeping that proverbial eye on the ball - to continue creating, innovating, and collaborating as we do best.
